I was born and raised in San Francisco, CA and started baking at a young age. Growing up, my sisters and I always enjoyed competing over who could make Nana’s recipes best and I found great joy in cooking and baking. My sister Erin perfected the toffee recipe and taught me the craft. Now when I am baking, I am filled with memories of my childhood and my Nana, who shared my passion for creating unique, delicious treats from scratch.
As a young adult, I attended the award-winning Culinary Arts Program at the City College of San Francisco. My pastry class took my baking to another level and made me eager to practice and learn more.
After completing the culinary program, I decided to travel to Europe and continue my studies. I spent a summer in Switzerland studying cuisine and wine pairing then moved on to France. Living in Paris was a dream come true and while there, I studied the culture, learned to speak French and fell in love with their chocolates and cuisine. After a year in Europe, I returned home to California with my new passion for European chocolate.
I have been in the wine industry in Napa Valley since 2007.
I started handing out samples of my toffee to guests to pair with their wine. Guests always love the chocolate and almond covered toffee, so after many friends encouraged me to share my toffee on a greater scale, I decided to turn a passion into a business.
